California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

On 1/1/2020 the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) will go into effect. We have added a link to your website that attempts to meet the guidelines of the new law that directly pertain to your website.

However, you should still familiarize yourself with the law and consult your legal counsel if necessary. You may also need to update your privacy policy.

The CCPA does not just affect businesses based in California. Any business that potentially has a website user from California may be subject to this law.

We expect there to be more individual state laws similar to the CCPA in the coming months.

Final Notes

Scary legal language is scary. We're your partner on the web and want to help you be web-aware; however, we're programmers and artists; not lawyers. In our opinion, this law is very vague and broad and lacking sufficient technical definitions. This makes it very hard for us to be of much use beyond implementing whatever compliance strategy you decide to use. Unfortunately, government compliance issues are beyond the scope of the service we can provide.
