"I Don't Show Up when I Google for My Business."

January 24th, 2011 by admin

We frequently see comments that a company doesn't show up in their business area, yet the content on their site is unclear what that area is. Sometimes it isn't even clear what kind of business is being provided. Make sure the information on your "home" and "about us" pages provide relevant and specific information about your company.

Review the content on your site, does your content make references to what you're wanting Google to match on? Are images on your site properly descripted so that the search engines know they exist? Is your site using valid, standards compliant xhtml?

Google provides documentation on good "white hat" methods of improving your site performance, see: http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/11/googles-seo-starter-guide.html

With Atomic8Ball's managed web services, you don't have to learn or figure this out for yourself. All you have to do is tell us what your goal is and we'll make recommendations and update your site to meet those goals.
