Meet Our Team: Anna Cargill, COO and Co-Founder

Continuing our series of blogs giving a better look at our colorful team, Atomic8Ball would like to let everyone get to know Anna Cargill with our latest addition. Anna is our COO (Chief Operating Officer) and Co-Founder. Though she would tell you her position is Cheif Ninja, and it's not hard to see why. Anna covers so many bases for the company that she really is flipping around like a ninja to get everything done! From taking care of customer relations, running Human Resources, overseeing accounting, to ensuring everything operates smoothly. While that may seem like a lot for one person, it will become clear that Anna is multi-talented both in and out of work.
When you look at Anna's life, it's not hard to see how she ended up in a leadership position. From being sent to multiple leadership camps in high school to quickly ending up in a management position with every job she's been in, her knack for leading others has always shined. Anna's work ethic combines working efficiently with looking for roadblocks to remove, as she tries to make everything she touches run better. Follow that up with an openness to adapting to new things, and you have a leader always looking to do her best while making everything the best it can be for the business.
However, Anna's greatest leadership quality is how she takes care of the people who work with her. She sees every employee has value, and she knows if they are struggling, that there is always something that can be done about it. Anna's goal is to make people's jobs as painless as possible and does what she can to make that happen. Whether that be moving them to a position more suited for them or just checking in to make sure life is going well; she ensures employees are treated and taken care of like people. Something important to do in a remote work culture like Atomic8Ball.
Outside of work, Anna is adventurous and willing to try anything that looks new and exciting. Which is part of why she is such an avid traveler. Due to her sense of adventure and her love of geology, she has traveled all over. Anna has seen all but three states (Alaska, West Virginia, and North Carolina for those who are curious) in her travels and loves seeing the different cultures. There's so much to see in the world, and she plans to see a great deal of it! It also helps that her love of traveling gives her ample time to work on her hobby of knitting and crochet. While Anna originally took up these hobbies because of traveling, it has quickly become something near and dear to her. The combination of pragmatic and practical with making useful things has made it a craft she can't put down. She's gotten so good at it that she placed 1st and 2nd at State Fair in the past few years for her work. In fact, she did so well that she was asked to be a judge at the state fair!
There is so much more we could tell you about her and her life, like how she's a brown belt in taekwondo, has never been stung by a bee, has an older brother and sister, is classically trained in piano, and loves the sound of ticking clocks. This, however, should be enough to give you a good picture of who Anna is and how she helped make us the company we are today. We hope you all enjoyed learning more about Anna. We couldn't have asked for a better Chief Ninja to be a part of the Atomic8Ball family.
